The Hunt family, led by Northolt talisman, Mark Hunt, worked tirelessly to bring the sturdy clubhouse into the modern era. Although the old building had weathered every storm (literally and metaphorically), the interior was looking a bit tired.
Enter Mark, Bradley, Joe and Scott, who put their carpentry, electrical and plumbing know-how into action to rejuvenate the interior of the club. They brought in more natural light and opened up the space to give us a clubhouse that felt open and lively without losing its rugged charm.
The original clubhouse was built by players after the 1995 move from the Polish War Memorial roundabout up the road. It is a lovely touch that again it was players who worked on it again. Head honcho, Mark, was a formidable second row for the club before injury forced an early retirement. Now he has to watch as his son, Joe, and nephew, Scott, take the field in his place.
Thanks, boys, for a cracking place to share a post-game beer!
